Upcoming Events and Programs at Gilpin County Community Center

The Gilpin County Community Center is buzzing with activity this holiday season, offering a wide range of programs and events for residents of all ages. From after-school programs to fitness classes, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the community center.

One exciting event coming up is the 2024 Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, November 30. Open to all ages and even pets, participants can enjoy a morning of exercise and fun on the Community Center Trail. Registration is $25 per person 11 and up, with a shirt included.

For those looking to give back this holiday season, the Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser for Fearless Ventures on Saturday, December 7 is a great opportunity. The Fearless Ventures Foundation is raising funds to support individuals with disabilities to have a three-day experience at Eldora Ski Resort. Teams can register for $60, with ages 14 and up welcome to participate.

The 21st Annual Winter Arts Festival on December 14 and 15 is another highlight, with vendor booth spaces still available for those interested in showcasing their art and crafts.

In addition to these events, the community center offers a variety of programs such as youth basketball registration, a Sound Bath Workshop, and outdoor gear rentals in partnership with ACA. The Friends of the Gilpin County Community Center’s “Heart of the Community” Fund also supports residents in need with family punch cards for daily admissions and scholarships for youth sports and classes.
