Holiday Hours and Activities at Westshore Parks & Rec for Year-end Holiday Season 2024
Westshore Parks and Recreation (WSPR) in Colwood is gearing up for a festive end to 2024 with special hours and activities for the holiday season.
On New Year’s Eve, the facility will be open from 6 am to 4 pm, offering a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. The pool will be open from 6 am to 3 pm, while the weight room will also be available with an attendant on duty. Drop-in sports will feature pickleball, with court reservations available for the 12 noon to 2 pm timeslot.
For families looking to ring in the new year on ice, there will be four time slots for drop-in Family Skate on December 31, 2024. Parking is plentiful at WSPR, and there is a BC Transit bus route available on Island Highway for those using public transportation.
While the JDF Golf Course will be closed on New Year’s Day, it will be open daily from 8 am to 4 pm during the holiday season.
Owned by a society representing five municipalities on the west shore – Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin, and Highlands – WSPR is a hub of activity for residents and visitors alike.
