Grand Opening of $38 Million Mishawaka Fieldhouse: A Game Changing Facility in Northern Indiana

The Mishawaka Fieldhouse in Indiana is now open and ready to change the game for sports enthusiasts of all ages. With a grand opening ceremony on Wednesday, the $38 million facility is set to become a premier destination for youth and adult sports alike.

Featuring more than 19 volleyball courts that can be converted into full basketball courts, a 70-yard turf field, batting cages, a full gym, and over a dozen pickleball courts, the 230,000 square foot fieldhouse offers a wide range of athletic opportunities for visitors.

Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood described the fieldhouse as one of the city’s most impressive economic development projects to date, with the potential to bring in millions of dollars in revenue each year. The facility is expected to attract visitors who will stay in local hotels, shop, dine, and enjoy other entertainment options in the area.

CEO Andy Card emphasized that this is just the beginning for the Mishawaka Fieldhouse, with plans to add three or four ice rinks and possibly a new baseball field in the next phase of the project. The goal is to make the fieldhouse the ultimate sports destination for northern Indiana, catering to a variety of sports including hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and more.

Already hosting competitions, the fieldhouse welcomed an adult volleyball league on its opening night, setting the stage for many more exciting events to come. With its state-of-the-art facilities and ambitious plans for expansion, the Mishawaka Fieldhouse is poised to become a sports mecca for the region.
