Excitement in Calera as New Pickleball Courts Open at Rolling Hills Conference Center and RV Park
The long-awaited pickleball courts at Rolling Hills Conference Center and RV Park in Calera are now open to the public, much to the excitement of residents. The three new courts, complete with a parking lot, are available for use from sunrise to sundown every day.
Director of Calera Parks and Recreation, Seth Gandy, expressed his enthusiasm for the new facility, noting the high level of interest from residents since the announcement of the opening. The construction of the courts was made possible through a grant from the Shelby County Commission’s Parks and Recreation Program, showcasing a strong partnership between the city of Calera and the county.
With plans already in place to construct more pickleball courts at the Eagle Sports Complex, Calera is embracing the growing popularity of the sport in the community. Residents are encouraged to bring their pickleball gear and enjoy the new courts at Rolling Hills, located at 521 County Road 304.
In addition to pickleball, Rolling Hills Conference Center and RV Park offers a range of amenities including a swimming pool, lake, conference center, family life center, and youth building.
