Drexel University’s Employee Olympics 2025: A Recap of Fun and Friendly Competition
Drexel University Hosts Successful Employee Olympics Event
Drexel University recently held its annual Employee Olympics on March 26, bringing together benefits-eligible faculty and professional staff for a day of friendly competition and wellness activities. This year, 132 individual participants took part in the event, which featured a variety of athletic offerings and new challenges.
Participants had the opportunity to compete in team sports such as pickleball and baggo, as well as a non-competitive Fun Walk that was available both on-campus and virtually. A new addition to this year’s event was the gauntlet, a fun fitness challenge that tested participants’ skills in various activities.
Diana Cordisco, the coordinator of fitness and wellness for the Drexel Recreation Center, led an energetic warmup session, and the university’s therapy dog, Espresso, provided some furry companionship to all who needed it. Participants also received a commemorative Employee Olympics T-shirt and earned 25 wellness incentive program points, equivalent to an extra $25 in pay.
The event provided faculty and professional staff with a great opportunity to engage in physical activity, build camaraderie, and enjoy a fun, spirited atmosphere. Congratulations to this year’s winning teams in baggo and pickleball, who took home gold, silver, and bronze medals for their achievements.
Overall, the Employee Olympics was a successful and enjoyable event that highlighted the importance of wellness and teamwork within the Drexel University community. You can view photos from the event in the official photo album linked on the Drexel HR website.
