The Assam Pickleball Open 2025 concluded successfully at Eden Greens Nursery, Nalapara, Sarusajai, highlighting the region’s growing enthusiasm for pickleball. Organized by the Assam Pickleball Association and sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association, the two-day event featured over 50 athletes from Northeast India competing in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories. The tournament also offered valuable Pickleball World Rankings points, attracting strong local support and media attention, underscoring the sport’s rising popularity in Assam.
The event was praised for its competitive spirit and flawless organization, with winners and participants celebrated during a prize distribution ceremony attended by dignitaries. Key winners included Anshuman Dutta and Prasurjya Kamal Borah in Men’s Doubles, Naziya Ahmed and Anangsha Alomyan in Women’s Doubles, and the pair of Anshuman Dutta and Anangsha Alomyan in Mixed Doubles. Assam Pickleball Association Secretary Nazneen Rahman emphasized the tournament’s role in advancing pickleball’s presence in the Northeast, signaling a bright future for the sport in the region.
