Amazon Introduces AI Tool “Interests” to Help Shoppers Find Products Based on Their Interests
Amazon is revolutionizing the way shoppers find products with the introduction of a new AI tool called Interests. This cutting-edge technology will make it easier for users to discover products based on their specific interests and preferences.
In a recent blog post, Amazon announced that Interests will scan the site for new inventory and provide personalized recommendations when users create prompts related to their interests using everyday language. For example, if you’re in need of new pickleball gear, simply type in “The latest pickleball gear and accessories” and Interests will quickly search for the newest paddles, balls, nets, and other accessories from top sports brands. Similarly, photographers can ask for “The latest cameras and tripods for photographers” to find the newest photography gear in stock.
Not only will Interests help users find the products they need, but it will also send notifications about new and relevant items, restocks, and deals. To access Interests, users can simply tap on the Me tab in the Amazon app.
This new AI tool is part of Amazon’s ongoing efforts to incorporate more AI-powered features into its shopping platform. Just last month, the company replaced the Inspire feed with the AI chatbot Rufus, which operates in a similar manner to Interests but asks for more detailed information about the products users are looking for. Amazon also launched Alexa+, a next-gen version of its popular virtual assistant, with enhanced natural language capabilities and the ability to recall user preferences.
While Interests is currently available to a select group of users in the U.S., it will soon roll out to the rest of the country in the coming months. With this innovative AI tool, Amazon is making shopping more personalized and convenient than ever before.
