Kelowna Open 2025 Pickleball Tournament: Registration, Format, and Schedule
The Kelowna Open 2025 Pickleball Tournament, presented by Cristalina PARC, is set to take place from July 17th to July 20th, 2025, at the PRC Outdoor Pickleball Courts in Kelowna, British Columbia. This year’s event promises to be a fun and competitive atmosphere with unique opportunities for players to volunteer and participate in various aspects of the tournament.
The tournament will be a Sanctioned Tournament, and results will contribute to players’ Canadian Tournament Pickleball Rating (CTPR) and DUPR ratings, which play a role in tournament qualifications. Due to construction at the Parkinson Recreation Centre, the event will be held on 12 permanent courts, with no singles events offered in 2025.
Players are encouraged to check their paddles for approval, as only paddles listed on the USA Pickleball Approved Paddle List will be allowed for use. The event format includes double elimination, with different game formats for the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides of the draw. Age and skill brackets will be available for mixed doubles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles.
Registration for the tournament opens on May 21, 2025, and closes on July 7, 2025. The registration cost is CAD 73.50, and players can register for one doubles event and one mixed doubles event. The event schedule includes different categories for senior players and players of all ages.
The tournament will be hosted at the PRC Outdoor Pickleball Courts, providing an outdoor playing environment with 12 permanent courts available. Parking is free, but players are encouraged to use designated parking areas to accommodate other users of the recreation center.
Overall, the Kelowna Open 2025 Pickleball Tournament promises to be an exciting event for players and spectators alike, with opportunities for players to showcase their skills and compete in a friendly and competitive environment.
