USA Pickleball and A New Leaf Partner to Bring Pickleball Court to La Mesita Family Shelter
USA Pickleball, the national governing body for the sport of pickleball in the U.S., has teamed up with A New Leaf, a Mesa nonprofit, to unveil a new pickleball court at La Mesita Family Shelter. The court, provided by Sport Court, was revealed during a special event on Nov. 13.
The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, formal remarks, a youth clinic, and a donation of pickleball equipment. This initiative is part of USA Pickleball Serves, the organization’s charitable arm, which aims to support inclusive play, educational youth programming, and court enhancements.
Mike Nealy, CEO of USA Pickleball, expressed his excitement about bringing the joy of pickleball to the community through this partnership. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to youth empowerment, healthy lifestyles, and providing long-term resources for the community.
In addition to the court dedication and clinic, Fortune Tires generously donated 60 sets of new tires, valued at $40,000, to residents of A New Leaf. This donation will support families experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, providing them with critical mobility.

USAP also donated pickleball paddles and Franklin balls to further enhance the pickleball experience at La Mesita Family Shelter.
