The Spring 2025 Dinks & Drinks Pickleball Tournament in Carson City, Nevada, was a smashing success, attracting players from all over the region for a weekend of competitive play and community fun. With 242 players participating in various events, the tournament showcased the growing popularity of pickleball in the area.
The tournament, held at the Robert “Bob” Crowell Multi-Purpose Athletic Center, featured a Coed Singles event on Friday evening, Women’s and Men’s Doubles on Saturday, and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Spectators and participants were treated to 435 exciting matches, with medals awarded in 20 separate events based on skill level and age.
Not only was the tournament a great opportunity for pickleball enthusiasts to showcase their skills, but it also had a positive impact on the community. Proceeds from the event went towards the Mills Park Pickleball Court Project, which aims to expand and enhance pickleball facilities in Carson City.
Sponsored by the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department and the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation, the tournament was a true community effort. With plans already in motion for future events, organizers are dedicated to fostering a vibrant pickleball community in Carson City.
