Youth in Benton to Dive into Pickleball This Summer

Benton, Arkansas – Excitement is building as the 2025 Youth Pickleball program gears up to launch this summer, offering local youth a unique opportunity to learn and play the increasingly popular sport. Running from June 8 to July 21 at the River Center Gymnasium, this six-week program promises to be both educational and fun, led by experienced instructor Lauren Brown.

Skill and Game Practice Combined

Designed for children in three age groups—10 and under, 12 and under, and 16 and under—the program aims to teach the fundamentals of pickleball, including proper form, rules, and gameplay strategies. Each week, participants will engage in skill-building sessions on Mondays, followed by match play on Tuesdays, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Age-Based Schedule and Flexibility

To accommodate the varying ages, the program will follow a structured schedule:

  • 10 and under: 6:00 p.m.
  • 12 and under: 7:00 p.m.
  • 16 and under: 8:00 p.m.

Depending on enrollment numbers, some groups may be combined and adjusted to earlier time slots, allowing for greater flexibility.

Equipment and Special Gifts

One of the standout features of the program is that all necessary equipment will be provided at no extra cost. Each child who registers will receive a free pickleball paddle and ball, generously sponsored by Rowdy Hog Pickleball, a proud supporter of youth sports in the community.

Classes will take place at the Indoor Pickleball Courts located at 1800 Citizens Drive, Benton, Arkansas, ensuring a dedicated space for young athletes to hone their skills.
